Matt Tinkler is most commonly known for his exploration and pass time videos on YouTube. As well as being a qualified mechanic for over eight years, he is somewhat good at art and has a very quick imagination.

This brings us to the books he has created.

The first time he tried to write was while he was at college. Studying Motor Vehicle Repair and other subjects at the Norwich City College. Originally, a short story during the Vietnam War about a group of veterans stumbling across a gate that lead to the underworld. It featured demons, monsters and other paranormal occurrences based off legends from war stories told by both sides of the battles. It was Epic. But... In his depression. Sensing he had written it for no reason at all. As no one would care. He dragged it to the recycle bin and erased it from history.

Some years later, after focusing on his career some more and jumping over many hurdles that rapidly accelerated toward him. 2017. In boredom, he took to the pages once again. This time, fuelled with a passion of dinosaur based adventure. The call for exploration was being vastly more hyped up. He spent every waking minute of spare time focusing on writing, planning and stapling together a fan fiction book that would expand the universe of Jurassic Park within his own confines. It was never made for commercial use. Because of the JP license, but also having artwork from other sources that he manipulated or added into his own creations. But, the book was brutal. Having violence like in the first two books that Michael Crichton had originally written and Matt was not to stop there. His project would include video links he created to sound effects that inspired his writing. Codes for video games to use the characters and creatures he had created. Every character in the book had their own hidden ID number, which could be salvaged for use in video games. The places in the book were based or lead up to locations seen in the movie, Jurassic Park 3. As well as an encyclopedia of the dinosaurs in the back of the book. Detailing more and revealing more secrets. It was a massive project with no intention at all, other than to grow his skill base. Maybe to impress himself or others, but he is not sure.

Either way, this was his awakening as an author.

His abilities stretched and tuned to give him the confidence to go. "I actually enjoyed this."

The lessons he learned from the previous ideas gave him an understanding of copyright laws and that if he was to get anywhere. It was going to be because of the effort he alone will put in.

Times were tough and he kept the idea secret, until, near the end. Then with the dawning of the Corona Virus and being put on furlough pay, then made redundant. May 2020 - He finished the book.

The Adventure Born - Tombland.

Creating his own artwork, back-stories, Cryptozoology and uplifting brutal story. It was a massive achievement created by one person. An achievement, he owned all the rights for.

Now. He still claws forward.

Never giving up and focusing on his next projects every waking second.

Believing his efforts will grant him a life where he is respected and known for creating some epic stories. That change people’s lives for the better and show them too never give up.

Even when, all is lost.
